Credits System
Everything you need to know about Tintage's credit system for video rendering.
Quick Overview
Tintage uses a dual-credit system designed to give you maximum flexibility and value:
| Credit Type | Included With | Resets / Expires | Usage Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly Credits | Subscription plan | Resets every billing cycle | Used first |
| Purchased Credits | One-time purchases | Expires 1 year after purchase | Used after monthly |
How It Works
Two Types of Credits
Monthly Credits (Subscription Credits)
Monthly credits come with your subscription plan and reset every billing cycle. They do not roll over, so any unused credits expire at the end of the billing period. When you render videos, monthly credits are consumed first to make sure you get full value before they reset.
Purchased Credits
Purchased credits are add-ons you can buy at any time. They last exactly one year from the purchase date, can accumulate over time, and are only used after monthly credits are exhausted. This gives you extra capacity without risking the monthly reset.
Credit Consumption Priority
Credits are consumed in this order to maximize your value:
Monthly credits are used first because they reset each billing cycle. Purchased credits are used next since they last longer and should be preserved whenever possible.
This ensures you get maximum value from your subscription and don't lose monthly credits to expiration.
Credit Costs
Video Rendering
| Resolution | Credits Required |
|---|---|
| 1080p HD | 1 credit |
| 4K Ultra HD | 4 credits |
Monthly Credit Allowances
Your subscription plan determines your monthly credit allowance:
| Plan | Monthly Credits |
|---|---|
| Standard | 1,000 credits |
| Pro | 10,000 credits |
| Studio | 40,000 credits |
Understanding Your Credits
Viewing Your Balance
Visit https://tintage.com/usage to see your credit status in one place. The dashboard shows your current balance split between monthly and purchased credits, a full transaction history of grants, usage, refunds, and expirations, and the exact expiration dates for any purchased credits so you can plan renders ahead. It also includes usage analytics that highlight how quickly you are consuming credits.
Credit Dashboard Features
The balance overview gives you a quick snapshot of total available credits, how they split between monthly and purchased pools, when purchased credits expire, and the last reset date for your monthly allowance. In the transaction history, you can review every credit grant from renewals or purchases, every render that consumed credits, any refunds for failed or canceled jobs, and any expirations from monthly resets or purchased-credit deadlines.
Credit Refunds
Credits are automatically refunded when a render fails due to technical issues, you cancel a job, the render times out, or a system incident forces a cancellation. Successfully completed renders do not receive refunds because the service has already been delivered.
To stay ahead of your usage, check your balance in the credit dashboard, watch your rendering patterns over time, and adjust your workflow if your remaining credits are running low.
